Two of the biggest aspects of Action are the tracks. The indoor on-road carpeted track and the outdoor off-road dirt track. Both tracks are located on site! The on-road track was opened in 2004 at the same time as Action. Its dimensions are 70' x 40'. It is carpeted with CRC Ozite: “Daytona” version. The barriers are mainly made with the same nylon material used to make the puck boards in hockey arenas. The drivers stand can comfortably handle 10 drivers. We use an AMB transponder system to count the laps. There is plenty of pit space that spans two floors and all areas have power available. The track layout gets changed on a fairly regular basis. Most of the work and designs come from our on-road track crew, Rob Say, Francis Lee, Jeff Say and Chris Durham.
There is also a fully stocked hobby shop on site for parts support. There is racing every Friday night (excluding major holidays). Racing starts at 7:00pm, open practice is available as soon as the store opens at 10:00am. We race on-road the whole year round with the Fall and Winter seasons being the busiest times. The also track holds some special events such as our Annual March Meltdown, an annual Charity Race around Christmas time, a 1000 lap Mini Enduro and we are part of the Southern Ontario Shootout (SOS) race series. Practice is allowed during shop hours throughout the week and weekends when there is no racing scheduled.
The classes we currently run on the on-road track are:

Tamyia M chassis "Mini"
Formula 1
Touring Car 17.5 "blinky"
Canadian VTA
Nascar Oval

We have house transponders available to racers who don't have a personal transponder for Friday night club racing. Personal transponders are mandatory at our major events. All results are posted on a board beside the track and we do live announcing as the races run. After racing, the final results and best runs are posted online for all to see. The track also offers a reward program for racers who finish in the top 3 of their main.

The off-track was originally opened in the Summer of 2005 on the south side of the Action Hobbies Kingsville's parking lot. It was a huge success right out of the box, attracting off-road racers from all over Ontario, Quebec and USA. In its first couple years of existence, the track hosted regular club racing, GLORCS events , RC Pro Canada races as well as Action's own invitational races.

In late 2008, we were informed that the site that the track was sitting on was sold and we would have to move. We took this opportunity and decided to move the track across the parking lot. We then constructed what has become one of the biggest and best R/C off-road dirt tracks ANYWHERE! The track dirt surface is enormous, measuring in at 200' x 150'. There is a large covered drivers stand that can accommodate up to 20 drivers at a time. In front of the drivers stand is a gravel walkway that gives easy access to the raised pit lane for pit stops. There is a covered pit area under 1/2 of the drivers stand. The other half houses the equipment used to maintain the track. On the south end of the track is the computer tower, where all the races are run from.

  • 4WD Open SCT
  • 2WD Stock SCT
  • 1/8 Electric Buggy
  • 1/8 Nitro Buggy
  • 2WD Open 1/10 Buggy
Anyone can come use their off-road R/C car, truck or buggy on our track. It is open for practice 7 days a week during shop hours. Since the move, Action Hobbies has continued to host major events and club racing. The RC Pro Series comes here every year for 1 of the 4 races held in our division. In 2010, Action Hobbies hosted the RC Pro Series Canadian Nationals where racers from all of Canada came to compete for a chance to go to the RC Pro Series World Nationals! Club racing starts in May and there is a club race every other Sun until late September. The schedule is posted online and at the shop. In 2012, AHK collaborated with another local track and came up with a 2 track off-road point series. This series worked out extremely well and will be an annual series from now on. Look for the AHK crew to have some exciting races in 2013! You have tried the rest, now come race at the BEST! Action Hobbies Kingsville Off-Road, let it rip!
